Student here from 2013 to 2017. I was here throughout kindergarden to 2nd grade. Im in 11th grade now 15 years old. I will say the staff and teachers (except mrs. Havasta) were all excelent and had the true teachers passion. I have adhd wich makes it hard for me to learn and the teachers recognized this. They made it more fun and easy for me to learn and they taught me alot. Though when I transffered from the school I realized alot more kids in my new school were smarter. Why? Because it turns out dobson academys Curriculum is just kind of bad compared to the other schools, though im not sure if they have improved. Id definetly reccomend researching and reviewing dobsons cirriculum before enrolling your child.

Overall i would say the staff and most of the teachers are great, Curriculum is risky,
And the school itself is small but it did have a vending machiene and a elavator for disabled children wich was pretty neat.
Also not sure if they still have this but they had a little farm with chickens towards the back of the school wich again was cool.
But its definetly not worth having a bad education and having a greater risk of an unsuccessful or happy life.

So far so good. I am a nurturing parent with a positive outlook. I have noticed a vast difference not only in my daughter’s enthusiasm to learn, but also with her self-discipline in her home studies. They must be doing something right. A heart felt thank you to the caring staff. Some of these reviews are short witted and do not describe why they had a bad experience. I only trust reviews that share experiences. Otherwise it is just a complaint. Dobson Academy is amazing because it gives kids all the big school perks, with a close knit group of peers. Love the approach.
My son has been going to Dobson Academy since Kindergarten & he’s had his fair share of struggles when it came to learning. The teachers and staff have been so amazing and helpful when it came to his learning and was able to get him the help he needed. I’ve heard nightmare stories from other parents at different schools when it came to applying for an IEP. Throughout the whole process I always felt like they were on my sons side when it came to his education! I’m grateful to have my child in this school, they really do have the best interest for each individual child.
