Amazing school with an excellent academic program! My younger brother has attended Doral Academy for the past 3 years, as a family we cannot say enough good things about the school. First of all, the Principal and Assistant Principals do a superb job at neatly running the school and keeping parents/family informed about the school activities/events. It is true the school is academically rigorous, however it has excellent teachers who are passionate about their job and helping students succeed, as well properly prepare them as for College and set realistic expectations. I honestly do not understand why the school has received so many negative reviews. Would highly recommend this school!
I vividly remember a gym teacher telling me how you could tell which students came from what school because they were either poor or rich.

Also getting dress coded for wearing shorts on field day while skinnier girls got away with wearing spandex.

I was constantly targeted and pulled out of class by one specific member of admin. She’d walk in and say “you. Bun. (talking about my hair)” in front of everyone

The extreme dress code policy doesn’t take into consideration low income or disadvantaged students who might not have the resources to comply with it.

What a horrible experience. I’m in college now and still remember those disgusting people. I hope my kid never experiences that.

Good school and gives you good education of things. Teachers are great (Mr. sirven is the best!), and staff is good too. However, the absolute worst thing of this school is the tremendous amount of homework they assign you each day. For example, my speech and debate class gives a new ESSAY every 2 days in a week and when I have other important assignments, I still have to do that. They don’t give you enough time either to do it, which is the worst part. I wish they can give you at least 4 assignments a week. Overall not bad and like the school a lot.
