Damian won’t just teach you how to drive, he will instil you with confidence being able to handle any situation on the road safely and skilfully. An enthusiastic guy who isn’t in it for the money, but the people.

Included in the cost of lessons, Damian provides access to various online resources and regularly gave me printouts for further information on how to handle e.g. ice on the roads and prepare for winter journeys. Updated me with anything new in the highway code. The app you will use (Total Drive) works great to book and keep track of lessons and check progress. Through Total Drive you will receive notifications when he is on the way and once he has arrived at your meeting place.
Damian will make sure you have everything you need to pass and remain safe as an independent driver. He will even make the examiner’s sitting area spotless to help encourage their good mood.
Tip from me: to avoid Total Drive service fees, you can book all your lessons on Damian’s website and the lessons will be credited to your Total Drive app account, just make sure to always use the same email address).

I didn’t have great confidence in myself due to issues with concentration and fatigue, but always felt safe with Damian. The stakes are high to make you a safe and confident driver, as he naturally wants his kids to be safe when crossing the road.

I was very tired on the day of my driving test and lost focus on the rural roads going under 20mph in warm weather, hit dirt going round a bend and thought I had failed. But followed Damian’s advice to just keep fighting to the end as the whole of my drive is assessed, not just single faults. Kept calm and still passed first time. Damian was cheerful that I passed and didn’t even seem to mind that I damaged the tuition car’s front left rim (oops).

Even after passing my test he generously offered free support in case I ever needed help travelling to buy a car or practise the more complex roundabouts I wasn’t sure about.

Damian is very intelligent, highly knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. Made every lesson a joy. Goes above and beyond other driving instructors and knowns the characteristics of the various examiners. You will be prepared in all ways. Damian has many years of experience and is a fantastic teacher and person. I now feel like a more knowledgeable/safer driver than most “experienced” drivers on the road and I look forward to the new freedom this brings.
