This school is a joke. Teachers that don’t actually teach throw homework on students rather than give actual instruction. Just before school let out last year, an English teacher for the junior class had what was required on the board, and she laughed it off and said it was for administration to see.

There are several more examples that I could give, but this school has a reputation that it doesn’t deserve. My daughter is finishing up her senior year with a 4.0, but feels that there isn’t any teaching actually going on. People need to look into this matter. The education there is severely lacking, sadly.

I attended when Manual was a magnet school and I thrived academically and socially. My teachers and guidance counselor went out of their way to ensure that I had the information and support necessary to grow and get scholarships to attend college. I got a full tuition scholarship to attend a top art college.
In terms of academics and college preparation, easily the best school in Louisville, probably the best in the state. Consistently ranked among the top high schools in the nation by the US Dept. of Education. You’ll find a better education here for free than for $13k/year at St.X or Trinity.
