Goede Nederlandse school! Na onze emigratie naar de VS zochten wij een oplossing om onze kinderen verder door te laten ontwikkelen in de Nederlandse taal en cultuur, zodat zij de mogelijkheid hebben om later in Nederland te gaan studeren. Onze kinderen volgen online lessen (inmiddels voortgezet onderwijs). De leerkracht heeft oog voor elk kind in de klas en het Nederlandse taalniveau is goed.
Het hele gezin neemt deel aan de extra evenementen die door de school georganiseerd worden, zoals Koningsdag. Dit is altijd feest. De leerkrachten en medewerkers van de school zijn vriendelijk en verwelkomen je met open armen. En het is leuk om contact te hebben met andere (Nederlandse) ouders.
Deze school heeft behalve onderwijs ook duidelijk een sociale functie.

Good Dutch language school! After our emigration to the US, we were looking for a solution to allow our children to develop further in the Dutch language and culture, so that they have the opportunity to study in the Netherlands later in life. Our children take online classes (currently secondary education). The teacher pays attention to every child in the class and the Dutch language level is good.
Our whole family participates in the extra events organized by the school, such as King’s Day. This is always fun. The teachers and staff of the school are friendly and welcoming. And it is nice to connect with other (Dutch) parents.
Apart from education, this school clearly also has a social purpose.

You can’t go wrong with this very motivated and dedicated team. They teach Dutch at all levels and for all ages, from kindergarten to high school, as well as adult. Immersion in the Dutch language and culture, supervised by the Dutch Ministery of education. Also, the option for AP-level exams recognized in the US and in Holland and Belgium. We are very pleased with the Dutch School of SoCal.
