My daughter has been attending Eastham for a little over a year. She has been in two classrooms. I am so pleased with her growth and development. I really appreciate that all of the teachers are highly educated and participate in continuous training. All of the teachers and staff are so caring, and have built a personal relationship with my daughter. Everyone knows her name and interacts with her in such a caring way. Each day when I drop her off, her teachers are so happy to see her and help her feel comfortable staying, even though she has some separation anxiety. Each day when I pick her up, her teachers take the time to give me feedback about how her day went. When I have brought concerns to the teachers, they have been very intentional about how to solve the problem and work with me and my daughter to help her succeed. My decision to work full time, and be away from my daughter has been tough. I feel like her being at Eastham has been a relief because I know that she is loved and cared for and she is learning social skills as well as the foundation of academic skills she will need to be successful in kindergarten. My daughter is happy and loves Eastham, and so do I!
My son went there for about a year and a half. He’s not a bad kid but like most 3 to 4 year olds, he’s very energetic. Well, evidently that is discouraged and frowned upon. After the third ridiculous meeting with staff, I had enough and told them that there isn’t a problem and maybe they should realize THEY’RE ONLY 3 AND 4! I’ll take responsibility if he’s being bad but their complaints were honest to goodness foolishness. We haven’t been happier since he’s been going to The Learning Tree.
It’s sweet, I walk out my front door and there’s the school. Have fun in school this year children.
