From 2022-2023, I went to ECPI for my BSN. I met some amazing people through this program and I am grateful to have achieved a Bachelors in nursing and land my dream job out of ECPI but I do not think this school deserves a 5 star rating.

My biggest gripe is the communication is so poor between faculty and students including directors and clinical professors. Students would often get conflicting information, one direction from our professors and clinical instructors but then the director/president would say something contradictory. Everything seemed so last minute when it came to clinical’s as well as labs, we were often chasing up the school for information, updates on curriculum, etc. Also we did not have a librarian for 6 months of my program so there was a lack of librarian assistance and the computers/printer located in the library only worked some of the time.

My positive take away is that I had amazing clinical professors/instructors such as Professor Davis, Hodgson, Glass, and Fitzpatrick who helped me become the nurse that I am today through my clinical’s. I am truly grateful for their guidance, wisdom, and positive reinforcement I received throughout my year in the BSN program from these clinical professors/instructors as well as meeting some amazing people in my cohort.

It is a very difficult program and theres a lot to squeeze in to a year but by pushing yourself, you can achieve your goals and pass!

All in all, I am pleased to have gone to this school with my cohort but if you want to attend this school, please be warned of the miscommunication and disorganization you might receive throughout this program. I believe this school has so much potential and could be such an amazing school but there needs to be lots of changes within their faculty (director’s and the president of the school included) in order for this to happen.

During my enrollment in ECPI’s traditional BSN program from 2022 to 2023, which was known for its accelerated pace, I encountered significant challenges stemming from issues in communication, organization, and student support. Despite the institution’s longstanding history, I was taken aback by the overall lack of organizational coherence. There were noticeable deficiencies in inter-faculty communication, and student welfare did not appear to be a primary focus.

I must commend Professors Davis, Green, Kinner, Jones, and Haylett for their exceptional dedication and kindness. Their commitment and extensive knowledge played a pivotal role in maintaining the program’s functionality to the best of their abilities, contributing significantly to the students’ success.

My ability to pass the NCLEX was primarily a result of my independent study efforts.

However, based on my personal experience, I regretfully cannot recommend the accelerated program at ECPI.

As I am writing this, I am 2 weeks away from graduating the Bachelors to Bachelors Accelerated Nursing Program at ECPI. I can say these 12 months have been difficult, but worth every minute. ECPI has prepared me to step on the floor with a foundation to expand upon my arsenal as a nurse. It is hard to comprehend the amount of knowledge that you will learn in these 12 months. It sometimes feels like you are just memorizing as opposed to learning with the pacing, but with the amount of clinical experience you will receive; applying that knowledge in a clinical setting is what will make everything stick in the future. If you have a bachelors and are looking to earning a BSN in 1 year, this is the program to go to. In addition, the faculty are willing to help if you ask them to, they know all of you by name…you are not just a number. They are willing to anything to ensure you succeed. Overall, you will receive a great experience here at ECPI.
