You know how you head out for business and at the end of the day you end up feeling special and highly favored, that exactly was my experience on Thursday September 28, 2023. My experience is something to write about. The lady I met at the reception was wonderful, it’s like she’s created for that job, she was very polite, friendly and in less than 2 minutes she got me happily on my way to the right desk that will handle what I came for.

On getting to the ECISD office along N. Lee Avenue, we were welcomed in and made to feel so much at home that I was comfortable enough to ask questions I wouldn’t have asked if we were not treated so nicely. The name of the nice and wonderful lady that attended to our need is MARYELA IBARRA. She did not only meet our needs, but helped direct us to sections and ways to meet other of our needs that were outside of her area of jurisdiction.

Thank you ECISD.

If you have children and are planning to move to Odessa, do not do it. The majority of the people in this city, especially in this School District are too problematic, and will not resolve any of your issues, but create them bigger.

As a Christian, an author and a minister of God, only by the grace of God, my family and I have had some of our issues resolved. But if it wasn’t for the Lord, they wouldn’t have helped us.

We have had issues for 4 years with the Schools, Administration Building, and School board members to no avail. They all protect one another even when they do wickedly towards you instead of standing up for what is right. The staff in the whole School system needs to get right with God and learn some customer etiquette, moral ethics, and we will have a better School system.

My eldest son has gone through 10 years in Ecisd with no problems. My youngest son, a different but good hearted child, has only been in Ecisd for a few years and the difference is amazing. As long as you have a completely compliant, normal kid Ecisd is fine. If you have a child with a “different” kind of personality they are unwilling to listen and only quote their overlord policies at you. Trying to have a conversation with said overlords only incites lies of threats being made which brings “warnings” to not being allowed on child’s campus. It’s scary some of these “professionals” are allowed around our kids most days.
