This school set me back educationally. Kennedy Middle School and the Cambridge program ended up being the much better option. I attended Edgewood for half a semester and it was awful. They’re not accommodating and frankly, their education isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Going beyond their high test scores year round, some other elements of the school need to be strictly analyzed.
The most difficult part is the lottery system. The standards for entering the lottery are too low and students that work hard to get in have the same chances as much less talented students. I saw 3 of the best students from their grade wind up so far down the waiting list that their chances are mostly hopeless. Demoralizing for those that work hard to get to the top.
Extremely well put together school and even received a blue ribbon award from or government because of how pristine it is.
