In my 70s I finally got around to what many say they will do in retirement: take up a musical instrument. It’s now been two years that I’ve been studying with Ms Crawford, and I feel fulfilled in my quest. Her method is thorough and has brought me along step by step. I’ve just memorized a Bach Invention, a feat I wasn’t sure I was capable of when I first started. Along with keyboard practice Ms Crawford has launched me on a course of music theory, and now when I watch a PBS music show I have a good grasp of what they are taking about.
Ms. Crawford’s teaching technique combined with her skilled intuition of where I’m at and what I need to do to complete an exercise or a piece are invaluable. It is rare that I miss a day of practice. I’ve found a place where I can be passionate about my retirement hobby. I am so grateful to have found my teacher.
Joyce Crawford’s Music Academy is absolutely top notch. I interviewed several private instructors and schools before making the decision to go with her. Personally, I take piano and voice and am amazed at how much we’ve covered since I started with her three months ago. My main focus going in was that I wanted to have a well-rounded foundation in music theory as well as maintaining a high standard in an engaging way. Music is Joyce’s passion and craft that she has dedicated her whole life to. I’ve never come across anyone who can match her technical expertise as well as the attention and care that she provides to her students. For anyone in the Palm Beach or South Florida area, you will not find a better guide to truly mastering your instrument.
If 5-star quality is what you want, then Wellington Elite Music Academy of the Arts is the place for you. Ms. Crawford is very patient and skillful. Over the short time my daughter has been with her, I have noticed huge growth and development in my daughter’s voice and also her confidence. There’s is noticeably more fullness and depth to her voice now. My daughter loves her. She knows how to instruct and critique my daughter in a way that keeps her motivated to want to do better. My daughter was able to be successful in her middle school performing arts vocal auditions so she can now pursue singing at a higher level. Absolutely phenomenal is all I have to say!
