Never in my lifetime of 55 years delt with such a slack, non caring, prejudice, racist, immature system in a community. These are our children!!! My experience here in Pasquotank County for the last 20 years when dealing with children has been very very concerning. Very SMALL graduating classes at high schools, yet our College of the Albemarle is taking on all our failed by the system students providing diplomas with no issues! The reason for this email may be little, seem petty to some but come on we are talking about children who depend on us for constructive, productive, nurturing education. The teachers, and administrators I have seen, and delt with do not have a clue about children. I mean all children age 5 to 17 , yes high school is still considered child/minor according to the law! The educators and administrators that do have the blessing of being the person that actually makes a difference end up leaving this area, and not just coast guard transplants. I have had the chance to actually speak with individuals who have come from other states, and cities for the position only to leave due to the way this school system is being handled. ?? Meaning, even they were bullied by the system here I am only getting started, this is the beginning of my speaking out! Im sick and tired of just accepting this. My next stop will be , public media, social media, and the Governor . Thank You, Concerned grandparent.
