We have 5 kids at ECC, and have found the experience to be outstanding. This is a school where the staff show genuine love and compassion for both the students and the parents as you navigate the learning journey from K-12. It has an even balance of education, focusing equally on all areas, academic, creativity, sport, the arts, you name it. Our kids have had such diverse opportunities in all areas in every grade in the school. There is a genuine community feel to the school, and you can see it embedded into the students from a young age. I’m often blown away by the senior students, how polite, mature and eloquent they are. Our kids are flourishing. Take a tour and see for yourself.
We looked between 2 local private schools, and chose Ellenbrook Christian College because it was big enough to have good resources & programs, but small enough our child wouldn’t be “lost” amongst a huge school, with the intention of going through to year 12. We’ve been at the school for almost 3 years (lower primary) with 2 children enrolled, and couldn’t speak highly enough of our experience. The teachers are amazing & the school community is warm, welcoming & fun. I’ve seen firsthand the care that teachers & staff have for each student & my kids are flourishing here.
Our 4 daughters had been at a very close knit school in Darwin for the last few years. Having settled in Aveley, we have found ECC to be a great, caring environment where they have settled in really well. They have all found great friends and love their teachers. Though not too big, they offer a great amount of streams and opportunities. Seem to have a big emphasis on Student Care. Our 4 are loving their new school!
My 5yr attends this school, he is the youngest in the class and is continuously bullied, his been, this week he was punched by a boy in the face while drinking water from his water bottle. In October a wooden object was thrown at his head, it feels like every other week is something else, I’ve had enough, all I hear is that boys are rough. I feel nothing is been done about it. His behavior has really changed in the time he has been attending this school and I’ve been told the teachers have to raise their voice to get his attention, have they never heard of using different methods like counting, hands on heads to get children’s attention rather than to yell, my son has had a crying fit, because he says his teachers yell at him.
All I want is for him to be happy and safe, to be in a christian environment, that teaches love and respect I know there is no perfect school. It’s obvious this is not his school As a result of this I feel my child is safer at home with me until I find a better solution.
Extremely disappointing Ellenbrook Christian College
What a joke of a school, I send my children here for a good education so they can continue on to Uni or a Trade. Last year my son was told to cut his hair and he didn’t know what hairstyle to change to, he eventually chose a hairstyle and got it cut. He really enjoys his current haircut and his workplace likes it too but yesterday my son was told to cut his hair again, it hasn’t even been 6 months since he was told off last time, this time the school is threatening to review his enrolment in the college over a haircut. I wish that they would leave my son alone, he is in his last year of school and getting his hair cut will effect his employment. Wish i could give a lower rating.
