I have two that boys that attend here and now my daughter will be joining them and they all will be here until they get kick out (8th grade).WHAT princple know all her kids from pre-k thru 8th grade by names(very few princple) but principal MOORE & her staff knows every student that attends Empowement academy. The Principal, Teachers & staff are A+ In My Book!! They keep you update with Covid and other things that’s going on in the school. They make sure you are included in any new information that they received. They go above & beyond for all the students. They make everyone feel like family. I recommend the school to anyone .I ?? The Empowerment Academy!!
Hello, My nieces attended this school when they were younger and now my grandchild. I love this school. My grand is learning a lot. The principal, teachers and all the staffs are awesome.
Early dismal…I was shocked when I was waiting for my grandchild to come out the school and Ms. Moore, the principal was outside handling her business. She was ensuring all the kids had a ride, she was saying bye and addressing them all by name. (Wow! she knew every child’s name)
If you say the child’s name and grade, she can tell you the teachers name and where they belong at that time. Amazing!
Keep up the AWESOME WORK Empowerment Academy leadership!
I dont believe that the children are preforming on a level that compares to other schools in the state.
Building is old, the appearance is dreary and unkept, windows are filthy.
You will need to buy 5 new shirts a week, child comes home with paint, marker and food all over white shirt.
No working drinking fountains, apparently the water is not safe for human consumption. Meals do not match city school meal menus. Seems that it’s only a portion of the citywide school menu.
Teacher is great but other staff leaves a lot to be desired.
