I do not believe this high school is beneficial to someone who wants a good education for themselves. If you’re an athlete and you have to stay hydrated which ultimately results in needing to use the restroom a lot, some teacher have s rule of not letting students because past ones did things they were not allowed to. It is very bad to hold your bladder which may cause future problems. Most teachers do not make sure students understand the curriculum before moving on, they just give them a bad grade and that’s the end of it. They have a new rule about not switching teachers even if it may benefit your child. Some teachers are not qualified for their teaching position, most usually are though. There is a new drug test rule for anyone representing the school, which is very understandable, but parents are not allowed to pick wether or not they want their kid to be tested or even which kind. The drug test is only a follicle test, if a consent form is not signed the student is not allowed to participate. I understand they are trying to make EHS a better place, but they are not fixing the right aspects of the school’s problems. A perfectly good website for filling out scholarships is blocked, it’s like the school tries to make sure their success rate is low.
I am currently a freshman at Enid High.
And I suppose my experience has been okay so far. And for the most part my core classes are okay. But I really hate the elective choices. I mean the only things that could bring even a little joy to what some may call a “dull” school is choir, band, and sports. I just feel they should give us more exciting options. I mean they’re electives for crying out loud. But I suppose that’s just my opinion.
