TBH I didn’t really like my last 3 years at Erwin.I’m now in 6th grade so I’m done with that school. The teachers weren’t always nice and sometimes even rude. There was this one lady that worked at the school (not going to say the name). When I was in 4th grade there was a tree near the back of the school but kids were still allowed to sit near the tree because it was still in the area where you play at and my friends and I would always sit back there and this one lady would ALWAYS get us in trouble for literally no reason, she would get us in trouble for sitting near the damn tree!!!IDK if she had a problem with our races or something like that. Also at about 3rd grade the school got really boring. We would stop having Halloween dances,Valentines Day dances, and Christmas dancesin the auditorium. The good teachers all left and we had to have really mean teachers that no one really liked. The principals switched schools really often and for some reason this all started happening at when I was in 3rd grade.I’m kinda just happy I don’t have to go back but I did visit after school because I did miss some of the other kids in grades bellow me.
Man i remember coming here for kinder to 3rd grade back in 2003-2006 but moved away. I missed this school so much back then i would cry just to go back. All my friends and the scary ghost that lived around the 5th grade buildings. Man those were the days. Youre child will love it here, if youre thinking of taking them here, they dont baby kids here. Well when i was there maybe they do now. But you learn alot they had so many good programs like computer lab, art class, and dance class. Sometimes even dance off or they would have a baseball game and the whole school would come out to watch the game. Ill always cherish erwin and the joy it brought me then.
I love Erwin Elementary. My son receives a great education and he is exposed to a variety of cultures.
There is room for improvement. I would love to see more enrichment programs for the kids including arts, sports, clubs, etc. I would love to see the garden revitalized and more physical education programs. I would love to see more family functions where the parents get to know each other.
Overall, I am very happy.
