If I could give this school a zero stars I would. The curriculum is awful. They just print out packets from the internet and send them home with the students. My daughter is in pre-k and she is sent home with 15+ sheets of “homework” pages every Monday. This school is TERRIBLE with scheduling. They have an early dismissal every Wednesday, off day the first Friday of each month, every religious holiday, their breaks do not line up with DPS or Jeffco and the slightest snowfall and they call the day off. They even sometimes (twice so far this year) send out an email saying they are closing school early and parents need to be at the school at 1pm to pick up their kids (those emails went out at 10:45 after the kids are already at school and parents at work.). This week they informed us on Tuesday that there is no school this Friday, half day next Wednesday and no school next Friday. I called to complain that they cannot just spring this on parents with just a few days notice and that none of this was on their calendar and website…their response “yeah that’s a mistake on the calendars…thanks for calling”. We will not be returning with our kids to this school and advise you to a wood or as well.

Follow up edit…despite our displeasure with the school as a whole, the pre-k teachers are fantastic and are the only reason we have kept our kids at the school.

My children LOVE this school from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. Escuela de Guadalupe integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. Even though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student-to-teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions, engaging in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. This is a true Dual Language School and thanks to their program, my children are proficient in English, Spanish, and even Dutch!
