If the curriculum is as bad as the kid’s and adults road sense, I can’t imagine this school being great, the staff just stand there chatting with their backs to the road, cleary not paying attention, parents just shoveling their kids of any age into the road, even the older kids blindly walk into oncoming cars. It’s a very bisy road, won’t be long before an accident happens, if it hasn’t already…
It’s a High school, good standards so far, my daughter has just started in year 7 so don’t have a lot to say yet. Good school do far..
Education:

A lot of points can be made about education at Essa Academy. “Education is the KEY to success!” The teachers here do not teach the students to the ability that they should. They let children do what they like. The children do not learn what they should be learning and they think this is ok. The idea of giving iPads to the whole school is debatable. But not many schools in the UK give iPads to their students. The iPad is just seen as a doss and the students think that the device will give them the grade 9’s. It a a GREAT distraction for all. Therefore this school is not getting the standards for the GCSE. The staff don’t seem to do anything about this and don’t really seem to care. Education is needed for the children to get their dream job and whatever they want in he futures. You basically have to learn yourself if your child is sent at this school. This is why we highly recommend not to send your child at Essa Academy unless you want to see them out on the streets with no job or life!

Facilities:

Yes as we all know this school has great facilities. The school is self is quite big and looks like a high standard school. The school only seems to care about Technology and Sports. Especially for the Year 9 -11 they need start to focus on GCSE and on their English, Math and Science. This is why children need to focus very hard at home to catch up. But we know some children will not revise. This is why we recommend sending your children to a school that actually really cares about education. Try Bolton School or the Tauheedul Schools.

Overall:

I give 2/5. For the above reasons.

Thank You,

This is one of the most disgraceful schools to go to.The teachers and students don’t do anything they just mess about not doing anything. All they care about is sports, technology and Ipads. If your willing to go to a school try Bolton School. Hope this was helpful.
My education at Essa was not bad. I learnt quite a lot and i was able to pass all 5 of the main GCSEs including Maths, Science and English. Though the reason for me not passing them all was from my lack of effort. The teachers assisted me a lot when i asked for help and they were always happy to help when i asked. I do agree that the ipads were a bit of a distraction, but they helped me learn a lot with research through the Internet. I would say it is not a bad choice for education, plus they have really good, well educated teachers.
Edit: I can’t definitely guarantee it will be the same as I said still, I’ve heard thatthe school has changed a lol, it’s become more nonchalant and don’t care as much of what students wear, can’t guarantee the same for the students, whether new teachers care or not is beyond me.
