Parents & Students Reviews:
Excell Preparatory Center has 28 reviews with an overall rating of 3. Some reviews have been edited for clarity.
*The owner never speaks to anyone.
*One of the directors is very rude and has a smart mouth.
*This is supposed to be a “Christian” school but they are very unprofessional.
*The classrooms have way to many children in them especially the 2 and 3 year old class; they can’t handle all the kids. I also overheard a teacher tell a child to shut up; she was reported and no longer works there.
*The turnover rate for teachers is at an all-time HIGH. Four teachers from Aug-Jan. Homework in the 3 year old class is never consistent. They spend more time on discipline verses teaching. They do not go to the computer class each day like they should or something is wrong in the computer class. Your child may get stuck at a computer that doesnt even work. I don’t even think the Spanish teacher shows up on a weekly schedule like he should. Last year was not as bad as this school year. I am so disgusted with this school and the unprofessional staff. On a positive note they do feed the children well. Most of the teachers are warm and welcoming but they don’t staying working at Excel very long. I actually witnessed one of the administrators lift a child up in the air and discipline them. I immediately stepped in and corrected her. Ms. Malcolm is a director she is very RUDE and intimidating to the children. After the first week you will experience all these things.
I know there may be other reviews that state otherwise but Im convinced that this location did an overhaul on leadership because its a 360 compared to the previous feedback.
