this school seems to being doing really good, getting their students to head in the right direction, but theirs a certain counselor that would rather give up on a student that is behind than to give them opportunity to prove themselves, my daughter fell behind and I do blame myself for not following up on her grades as closely as i could have, but non the less, I met with her and my daughter was motivated to get it done no matter what it takes and she just gave us no choices. She suggested that she transfer out to another school. schools with students that were and are parolees. she wouldn’t give her any other option. we had to go beyond her and straight to the teacher in charge of the program that allows students to make up classes. The counselor seemed more concerned with graduating numbers as oppose to getting every student to graduate. the whole school seems that way, including the principle.
Sin duda una escuela excepcional, es una lástima que mis hijas ya no hayan podido seguir yendo allá porque nos mudamos , era una escuela donde se preocupaban por el bienestar de los alumnos y siempre te daban el apoyo que necesitaban cuando lo necesitaban, cuando mis hijas fueron a dejar los libros nos pusimos muy tristes pues esta high school es realmente acogedora y para nuestra comunidad latina en Boyle Heights.
