If you want these reviews to more accurately reflect the school, it’s possible to report Shirley Maihi’s review here for ‘Conflict of interest’ considering she’s the principal of this school.
Reason I give one star is because I went here while they were running the Arrowsmith Program, and experienced A LOT of racism from other kids as one of the few white kids in school. Not to mention the teachers all seemed to hate their jobs and made going here a miserable experience.
I made a review similar to this a few years back and Shirley Maihi threatened to sue me for it. It’s a shame you can’t do that over a bad review.
I used to go to this place, me & my brothers were the only white people and that made my brother feel like it was a bad thing but I didn’t think anything of it, my brother has ADHD and this school did not help. My brother has 3 bullies I will not state their names but they made my brother feel TERRIBLE, and the teachers were so rude to my brother when he couldn’t help it. And I was in the first year like A1 or something and I had 5 boys older than me chasing me around the school every day I went, and there was this one boy who actually kissed me! Also there was a ramp that you would go up on but I tripped on it and my knees were bleeding so much, no teachers cared I just got an big square plaster and an ice pack. I then went to the hospital because I broke me knee cap or did something to it.
A Very caring and sharing school which is culturally sensitive and promotes nurturing of First Language, The Rangimarie Behaviour programme “supports out” those students who wish to push the boundaries in a whiole school approach
My review was removed? I will keep reposting my review every time it gets deleted. My child was told she made a coward act by a teacher because she seeked help of a from her sister that also attended this school, she was bullied for a whole year by a girl that was in her class. Why she seeked help from her sister instead of a teacher, is because they never helped her. Brushed her off as if nothing had happened. And they will never call you to tell you that your child got beat up.
