My 18 mo daughter attend 3 times in a 3 week period. 1st time was fine. 2nd time. A busted lip. No phone call no incident report. The facility manager jaleesha didnt even know it happened til i brought ot up to her and her office is next to my childs room. She assured me that her teachers are great at reporting incdents to her yet they tried to cover it up and still to this day no one knows what happened. So i removed her for a weekish trying to find another facility . The last straw was this week. I had to bring her back because my babybsitter flaked. I was terrified. I arroved to pick her up and shes got an enormous golf ball sozed bruise on her head. They saod she fell face first into the floor. I was told ot happened in the morning. Supposedly there was 14 kids to 1 teacher. Which os illegal and why my daughter was neglected and got hurt. To my surprise there was an incident form. But still no call to me. Or my emergency contacts or my email. Which they had and never looked at. The entire faculty except 1 yeacher was very rude and defesive. Miss jaleesha decided to bust in the todler room with an attitude and demanded i come and speak to her. When i did, instead of an apology i was given an attitude. I was told ot wasnt a big deal and she was only there a few times. My child may have had a concussion and kever woken up. To her. The facilitator. That was no big deal? The icing on the cake was when jaleesha lied and said she attempted to call and my voicemail wasnt set up. Yet ive had the number for 6 years amd receive vm just fine. After the attitude and cover ups at this point i have made the decision to call the police and cps to turn them in for neglect and attempting to cover it up. Please please please do not bring your child here!
I hadn’t needed daycare for over 30years, however due to life’s circumstance I found my self needing a daycare. I took my great niece to the 1st Ave Center in Federal Way. My niece had experienced a lot of life changes and had never been in daycare. Every morning for the first 3 months she didn’t cry oh no she screamed I would stay to try and comfort her because I was afraid they would say the couldn’t handle her I would call the center during the day to make sure she had been able to calm down.
Ms. Jalessha assured me things would be fine well after thing hadn’t improved after a few weeks I found myself staying at the center longer in the morning to try and comfort her. Ms Victoria told me to just drop give her a hug and kiss and let her know when I was returning and my niece would be fine.. after her third birthday she was moved to Ms.Shelly’s class and that’s when I saw her behaviors turn around she became more expressive the crying in the mornings decreased and did I mention we managed to work together to get her potty trained. Now instead of crying in the mornings she cries at the end of the day when it’s time to go home. I can’t believe how loving and caring these young ladies are. My only wish is that every child in daycare were loved and cared for by people like Ms. Jaleesa, Ms Nicole, Ms, Shelly, Ms, Victoria, Ms, Makaylah (wrong spelling I’m sure). These lady deserve all the recognition in the world I can never thank them enough for the love and care they give to my niece

My child is 3 and very verbal. I ask him everyday if he had fun and if he learned things and everyday the answer is ALWAYS positive! He tells me how much he likes his teacher, his spirit when we walk in the building is always amazing so I know for a fact they are treating my baby right. The price is high but every center has high daycare prices so why not pick one your child actually verbally, physically and emotionally says he enjoys. The meal plan looks very diverse and it’s teaching my child as well as myself new things to try. The only problem is the days where they have to close early BUT they are human too and things happen: this is a center I recommend to everyone that things there baby is ready for a much more “school” ready environment. I know because of the staffs help my child is ready for Preschool! If any of the teachers are reading this, THANK YOU ??
