I have been coming here since I was 9 years old. This art studio helped and continues to help nurture my love and passion for art. I rarely draw at home, so my time at the studio is really precious as it enforces me to focus and draw. Many students who come here are aiming for a profession in the art field. A lot of the students who graduated from this art studio were accepted into prestigious art and other generic colleges with the help of their many awards. Mr. Qu is an exceptional artist who did background designs for animations(I think) before settling down as a teacher, so i think he understands what it takes to become successful in the Pool of art professions. Though his own art style and personal preferences sometimes get in the way when he is demonstrating for the. For those that expect a more basic, textbook teaching style, you may not find this art studio to be in your good. The teacher is caring and has a big heart. A few times I didn’t have lunch during summer camp, and Mr. Qu was nice enough to give me part of his lunch. He is understanding of last minute class cancel calls. For those that want to go to an art studio, this is definitely a good place to start. Would recommend!!!
I’ve been coming to this school since I was about 7 years old, when he still was teaching in his basement. Over the years he was able to open this studio in 2013 and it’s been a great school for kids to learn the professionalism and traditional techniques of fine arts and design, but also come here to learn social skills with all kids around the Atlanta metropolitan area. I currently go to Parsons School of Design for graphic design. Without going to the academy here I wouldn’t be able to find my true passion within the design and art field. Because I have this foundation of art and design, I’ve been able to excel in school and with my studies but be able to express my emotions, thoughts, and opinions in a form where I’m comfortable being myself in.
