I began prep at Flaxmill Primary School in 1970 and remember singing God Save the Queen in front of the flags and sitting on the hot bitumen, running through the sprinklers on the oval at lunchtime and going to the portables dripping wet for afternoon classes underneath the fans (no air conditioning back then) and a price list from the canteen that had most items under 10 cents a piece! I specifically remember Mr Roy and Mr Beckett – teachers that really inspired me throughout primary school. The bike track around the almond trees at the back of the school was a popular past time during lunch time. Thank you for instilling a life-long love of learning in me. I have very fond memories of primary school, so when I visited Adelaide in January 2021, I took a variety of photos – enjoy! Sue Ellson 🙂
Went to this primary school when I was younger, still remember the great memories to this day. Sitting out on a hot summers day with my friends was a blast! Made life long friends from here, Thank you Flaxmill!
My son started kindy last year, prep this year and us using OSHC and vacation care.
Can’t fault anything. Staff are friendly, and their space is encouraging and fun.
Great place to send the kids. Kindy and staff is awesome . Preschool really gets them ready for r-7. Nature play based schooling is just great!
