My son attended Florida swim school for a litte over one year. He has three separate instructors, one was good two were mediocre in that they were lackluster and didn’t push him. My biggest issue is with management. I felt that the owner didn’t really like kids and felt extremely uncomfortable bringing my youngest one with Me. Besides that my family went on vacation for several weeks. I marked absent on the app and when I came back they had cancelled my membership without asking me. When I asked why, the owner came out saying she had been so worried that we hadn’t showed up to class, yet no one called me and she cancelled my membership without a call or notice?! Not to mention they didn’t give me the classes or a refund for the classes I paid for after they cancelled my membership without letting me know! There were multiple other occasions I could write where she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It’s beyond bizarre that the owner of a childrens swim school seems to have so much disdain for kids.

Reply to owner: Your reply makes no sense as you said you were very concerned that we hadn’t been in for 4 classes yet no one reached out, so in “good faith” you cancelled? Also, you didn’t give me a free class, I paid for a month, so should technically be able to come in and take 3 more classes that I paid for, especially since you cancelled without telling me. These are not caring business practices.

This is by far one of the best swim schools in the area!!

The team is very very welcoming!! From the coaches to the management team they are all super friendly and help all the kids.
My kids started with coaches Sydney and Keisha and both are extraordinary!! The kids have been improving a lot. They even tell you when your child finishes a certain level and is ready to move to the next level, which is a great incentive for the kids.

I read a lot of the negative reviews here and they all share their bad experience with missing classes or cancellations. And honestly we never had a problem with cancellations. The school has a policy to request cancellation an hour before your scheduled time, which I think is very fair to them as a business.
My son is 4 years old and he goes to daycare so of course he gets sick a lot and it has been very easy to go online and request to cancel with the option for a make up class. It is actually very easy and the school never gave us a hard time.

Again this is a great school!! We highly recommend it!!

We have been coming to Florida Swim School for years and love it! The staff and coaches are great and are really good about adjusting to skill sets and needs. It is a heated indoor pool so rain or shine classes continue. They are open late and on Saturdays, so it is a great place for working parents who aren’t available in the middle of the day. If you miss a class it is easy to book makeup lessons through their portal. Both of my children have been going to the school since they were 18 months old (they have classes for younger babies and adults as well) but it is nice because parents have the option to get in the pool with their kids or just wave from behind the glass. Their philosophy is definitely slow and steady and really focus on learning fundamental skills and techniques that promote lifelong swimming and won’t just throw your kid in the pool and hope they swim. We have made great friends through the school and will continue to be a part of it!
