My daughter attended Footscray North P.S for prep and grade one and we experienced nothing but problems.
The leadership is weak and Incompetant and consequences for poor behaviour is not dealt with accordingly.
My daughter was bullied from prep and had her wrist fractured deliberately in the first term,
thereafter we had to push for a safety plan to be put in place and the bully was not removed from her classroom even when she felt unsafe.
We experienced unacceptable behaviour from both a teacher and a student and our concerns were dismissed on numerous occasions by the principle and vice principle.
My daughter was then seen to be targeted from this same boys male teacher the following year who shamed my child for crying and made inappropriate comments to her including “I don’t care what your mother says”.
We pulled our daughter from this school, we knew the school was horrible but only realised how bad it was since we have seen the great practices and teachers at her new school.
After our experience at this school, we will never ever send our child to a public school again.
My son changed school for one year but for everyday of that year, he would tell me he wanted to come back to FNPS.
