Where to begin… We had heard favourable accounts of this establishment when we first relocated from out of state, but Foresight has proven to be a colossal disappointment. The setting and location are indeed picturesque, and there, unfortunately, the compliments must cease. The myriad issues plaguing this institution primarily originate from the conduct of the manager/owner: she is an obnoxious and conceited individual, woefully out of touch with current educational policy and pedagogy, who whimsically devises policies to suit her convenience, based on sheer laziness and ignorance.
Permit me to enumerate some examples:
Feedback, complaints, and enquiries are invariably met with a defensive posture and a propensity to blame the parents, even when the manager herself solicits feedback.
Communication: The teachers refrain from engaging with parents outside the biannual parent-teacher conferences. Thus, parents remain perpetually uninformed about ongoing matters.
Commitment to teaching excellence: Our child’s teacher candidly admitted that this was merely her secondary occupation, and she essentially improvised each lesson extemporaneously.
Turnover: In a single semester, nearly all teachers and afternoon instructors have been replaced.
Though the place may appear charming and inviting, it is, in reality, quite the opposite. An exceedingly vexing experience, to be honest.
After paying registration and being told we would receive a call for scholarships and to let us know if our son had a spot. Never received a call. We had to call ourselves 2 weeks before school started to even find out anything. Then first day of school I get hit with a 712$ bill for first month plus a deposit. Like are we renting a house? Jesus. Well having a family of 5 there was no way I could give more than then 381$ I was giving a month. And telling them that numerous time I still got harassed multiple times demanding the other 330$. Which could have been paid over summer if they would have done their job. But luckily for us we found a much cheaper school with no deposit for pre-K.
I love this school so much! We LOVE the staff, the year-round schedule, and their exceptional curriculum. They have special events for holidays, which are simply adorable. They also teach the kids independence through encouragement and citizenship through various drives (food, toys, etc). The teachers truly understand the kids. This also has got to be the cleanest school in town as they sanitize with bleach often. As a working parent, I’m SO grateful for that.
