My child had been going to this daycare for a few years. The infant side ran exceptionally well, and I really can’t say anything terrible regarding that until we transitioned to the toddler side, when it went downhill from there. ?? Lavonne ?is completely disorganized and extremely rude. The current staff would hardly acknowledge you upon dropping your child off or at pick up. Every time I had to go out of my way to interact with any of the teachers to ensure they knew my child was dropped off or picked up because they would constantly be conversing with no acknowledgment. I wonder how much they watched and cared for my child at times. This daycare is run out of a church, but let’s get one thing straight they don’t run the same curriculum the church would, as they have hired many of the LGBTQ community. Hiring so many transgender has made it very confusing for our child, so much so that our child would come home and confuse my and my wife’s pronouns. We approached Lavonne regarding this matter, and she was anything but accommodating and decided to kick us out because we couldn’t have our own opinion on what we believed was right. All we wanted was to be assured the teachers we signed up for would be teaching our child. Suppose that is too hard to ask, then why give us the option to choose teachers for the upcoming year? Or at least be more accommodating and let our child be in an LGBTQ-free room. Lavonne was honest and said it wouldn’t be easy because all she has been hiring are transgender people. If you’re a parent considering this daycare for your little one, take that under consideration because almost half of the staff is he/ she or she/ he or homosexual. Again, if you are comfortable and don’t mind it, this daycare would be a perfect fit. Nonetheless, we were blessed to find a daycare much closer to home that aligns with our beliefs regarding Forest Hill Nature Preschool. I will pray for you.
We love Forest Hill Nature Preschool! I have a background in early childhood education and experience working with preschool age children. I was very particular about what I wanted while looking for a preschool for my 3 year old daughter. I did not want to send her to one of those big box daycare centers. I wanted a program that was research based, progressive, and run by people who truly care about what’s best for the children. This program is absolutely amazing! No other preschool in the area compares. Ms. Lavonne and her staff of teachers have created a safe, warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment for our young children to have their first life experiences out of the home. On top of the normal preschool curriculum the school also offers Yoga, Spanish, Art lessons, Wild in the Woods (science and nature), reading instruction for 4 year olds, as well as multiple field trips throughout the year. My daughter has been thriving st FHNP. Every day when she wakes up she asks me if it’s a school day! She only goes 2 mornings a week, but after 3 months we are already planning on participating in the summer program and will be enrolling full time next year. Affordable tuition rates are just the icing on the cake. Any other preschool in the area costs at least $100 more per week. This is the best preschool program and I am so grateful my daughter has the opportunity to be a part of something so special.
My sons have both gone there, one of them still attends it. The kindergarten/school is one of the best ones all around.
The children get exposed to many things nature related, all the teachers are caring, the owner Ms. Lavonne is a great person, but she doesn’t put up with nonsense.

There’s a good reason why
is always a with waiting list, and the only people who complain are those parents that have spoiled children and don’t want anyone disciplining their children

They hatch eggs to teach children where chickens come from she has a few pets, which are kept happy, healthy and clean

If you are fortunate enough to get your child in, you should be really happy.
