Went to school here from 1964-1966. Treated great, fantastic friends, (still have them). One of my best memories of youth. During the summer of 1964 the main administration building burnt to the ground. We were away on that Friday night to Vespers at the Church in Orlando, we could see the fire but didn’t know where it was, until we got close. We all had to go to classes that first year in make shift classes spread all over campus, by the second year the new classrooms were finished and that was my senior year. Great memories.
Some of the best moments of my life! I’m eternally grateful for my time there. I was not well off and depended on the work study programs and matching scholarship support to attend there. I hate that there are no more dorm students. I was hoping to send my son there in 11 years. I graduated in 2004.
I’m a current parent of a Freshmen and a Junior. I really love FLA. The teachers and staff truly make it a one-of-a-kind experience. They truly want success for your student and help to make it a reality. They also deeply care to keep a Christ-center approach in all they do.
