This school is honestly a bad influence to people who actually care about having a life, education, and career such as me and it makes it miserable to be here. Most of the kids here don’t even try and need quarter recovery every quarter and they slide by that way. The lack of respect and maturity is unacceptable and the stupidity is in quantities and levels I couldn’t and can’t imagine. People grief at you over something that’s their fault and call you racial slurs as a result. I literally stay in my classrooms during lunch for the sake of not associating myself with them and mostly to also work on my assignments as well. I will also mention that people vape in the bathrooms and sometimes what I perceive as the smell of a skunk that people say is actually the smell of weed. Other than that the teachers I have as I am typing this are all great. The best being a new teacher Mrs. Sperry because she’s absolutely perfect at making sure she explains things thouroughly so we understand the material. Mr. Bruton is great for laughs and his class is easy if you listen and do the work, and Mrs. Churchwell is amazing in the full 360 degrees. Other than that, there’s more misery, disillusionment, and vexation and just bad things in general that shadow what’s good in this school. It’s just not a place a serious and mature person would want to be in.
It’s an okay school until principle Burt Postell tells all underclassmen to laugh at a few seniors because they were tardy.
Let’s be honest. I am beyond pissed off that my child can be made fun of because she went to the restroom and was 5 steps away from her class room when the bell rang. She was sent to sit in an auditorium and lectured about her tardy. Her FIRST tardy. He then directed the attention of all under class men to the Senrior class and told them to practically laugh at them and learn how not to be, no child should go through that in a school. Palmettos states finest I think not.
My daughter deserves better.
My sister was previously a student here. I’m not going to go into details about anything but the bottom line is, this school is said to be the best school in the area but it’s everything far from that. The staff and administration are all so rude. Out of all the schools I’ve ever attended and my siblings have ever attended this was by far the worst experience we have ever been through. Would not recommend this school to anybody.
