Carrollton Classical has done a great job getting my daughter off on the right foot. She arrived in the country just before 1st grade, with only very basic English skills. In no time she was thriving, reading above her grade level. Now in third grade, she often surprises me with stuff she’s learned there at such a young age.
One thing that greatly disappointed me, they did a concert just before Christmas one year, and though it was obviously performed at that time because it was CHRISTMAS, in all of their songs, there was purposely no mention of the word Christmas, (as if it’s a curse word), of the birth of Christ or anything of the sort…. very disappointing and depressing.
I thought they’d be different in this way.
As far as education, though, they’ve been splendid.
It’s a great school and gave me opportunities, but my sister is kindergarten was continously been complaining about people hitting her or bothering her. I had spoke to the principal about it and she said she will deal with it. Today my sister said someone put a WOODCHIP in her eye. Like what the heck? They didn’t even get in trouble not suspended, not detention, not grounded or calling their parents, not even time out. Like my sister she wears a brace and sometimes woodchips get into her brace, but in her EYE?! please have more discipline of k-5. I wouldn’t have give it 4 stars or 5 stars
Carrollton Classical Academy is a new school for my granddaughter this year. She’s a 3rd grader and she loves everything about the school. My daughter and I are both educators (I’m retired) and we could not ask for a better academic environment for my granddaughter. This learning institution is absolutely outstanding. Administration, teachers, staff, parents and students are the best I have ever encountered.
