I’m not sure how this school has such good ratings when all the other people I have talked to have had the same experience as my son and I had while attending this school.
My child was labeled a “problem child”. He was constantly getting the blame for every incident that occurred while he was there, which was too many. It was for problems we had never experienced before. He was failing all tests and not doing well on any school work in general. We ended the school year early because there were so many isssues and it was greatly affecting my child’s confidence and general well being. Who wants to hear from their 5 year old “I don’t know what’s wrong with me” “What’s wrong with me?”
After we left Tyler Classical, all the problems were gone. We started at a new school and he has done nothing but progress. He enjoys going to school, he enjoys helping other students with their homework. There hasn’t been a single behavioral issue or trouble with school work the entire year. I’m very thankful we left when we did. I do not reccomend sending any first year students to Tyler Classical Academy.
My daughter has gone to this school since day one when it was Vista Academy. While we have had a few issues with some of the teachers they were quickly resolved and did not, by any means, tarnish the reputation of the entire school. My stepson started attending about 4 years ago and will be graduating in 2022. We all love this school as it gives college prep opportunities and the administrative STAFF are THE BEST! Every school has its issues but TCA is dedicated to righting the wrongs when brought to the attention of the head Master, front office or the teachers themselves. They have a NO TOLERENCE policy for bullying and care very much about their students success in school as well as beyond 🙂
