My son is a week away from the cut off date and I strongly supported him staying back. All information about a young boys progression supports my feelings but apparently AES (Amesbury Middle School) felt they knew what was best for my child over my own concerns.
The staff at the Bresnahan brought him in for a private screening and were more than accommodating with my late move to the town prior to the school year.
The staff generally seems to care far more and are very good at keeping communication with my child’s progress. Very dissimilar to AES where despite having regular one on ones with the teachers I had to continually hear about actions they took like extra testing and private sessions threw my son instead of the school.
