Only reason I put the 1 star is so other PARENTS/GUARDIANS can see this. We enrolled our youngest in this school in the beginning of September. We had problem after problem with the assigned teacher (Ms.Alexander) and the staff in the front office. Their system is HORRIBLE for how they handle actions that take place within this school. After weeks of our child coming home without clothing, her backpack being destroyed, and another child pulling her braids out I continued to try and meet with the principle do we could figure out what was going on and they made excuses for why they couldn’t because of their plan of action… well their plan of action ended with a male student Hid in in the girls restroom where my child was dropped off by a Female teacher and he crawled under the stall and touched her and then continued to block the door to where she couldn’t leave. While he was in that stall 2 teachers and a female custodian entered the bathroom and neither escorted the male child out of this girls restroom (preschool age) they swore to conduct an investigation about the entirety and just kept trying to find avenues to sweep it under the rug. This affected our child because we began to notice behavior changes and they only wanted to send her to a different class no true investigation. so please do NOT SEND your child here if you want to be actively involved in their education and well-being
My child currently a student at the school has been being bully for almost a month the staff that’s suppose to keep them safe has done nothing but make my child feel even worst bout the situation on the things that she should and shouldn’t be telling me as her parent about what’s going on instead of addressing the real problems..killing the kids dreams by telling them they can’t succeed in there future careers this school needs to be closed down or re staffed or everybody children are doomed…
I was a student in 3rd grade when this school first opened. It was very problematic from the start. Teachers were lazy especially a teacher named Lisa Lovato. When teachers would get mad they would call the students “ghetto” and say that they didn’t care what happened to the students because they would still “get a check.” Apparently from the other reviews the teachers have not changed.
