I went to the open house and everyone was kind and welcoming and informative on what my vocal audition was all about. The day of the audition I was a bit nervous because it was a competitive school and I have a passion for the arts so I did my audition for vocals and I felt it was amazing.. I’ve been hoping so bad to get into this school because it’s everything I’ve wanted so bad if I don’t then I will do the audition next year for vocals and drama because I want everything frank Sinatra hs has to offer no matter what I will strive for it . Frank Sinatra as far as I can tell is a stupendous school . And anyone who wants to go should really consider it .
As a third year student of Frank Sinatra I have got to say that they are everything they promise and more. Visually, the building is spectacular and undeniably beautiful. Each arts program is specially crafted and well balanced with the regular academics expected of a New York City public high school. Founded 2001, the school is ten years young and growing. As a student of the brand new 2009 building, I have had the chance to see the school grow and plan on coming back in the near future to see its progress and maybe see a few of the many performances.
This is one of the greatest schools of NYC. Staff is smart, updated, sensitive and responsive. Students seem to be very well educated, passionate and of mature behavior. The physical space is incredible, it is modern, with state of the art equipment and impressively clean. It feels like going to high school at the Lincoln Center! Kids are happy, productive and well adjusted at Sinatra.
