We have found this school provides an excellent learning environment. I was never a fan of private schools until I had children of my own. With the broad range of ideologies being tested in public schools it is a relief to have our kids in a school which has demonstrated it’s commitment to education without compromising our Christian faith.
I have two children at this school, and they are both really happy to go to school every day. They have made great friends, and both of them love their teachers. There is a big variety of classes/subjects outside of the normal maths and english in primary school including outdoor nature play, chess, music, Japanese, dance, library and science. Any unkindness my children have experienced from other children has been dealt with quickly and efficiently. We originally chose this school after having a tour with the head of Junior School and noticed that he knew EVERY child’s name, and was genuinely interested in what they were doing in class. The children all wanted to show him what they were doing too. There is a sense of community within the school and genuine caring and kindness between the teachers, students and parents. My children are doing well, and love going to school, I can’t ask for much more.
It’s so encouraging when the principal calls it ‘our school’ because it really does feel like home. My kids have been here for years now and we love how kind and compassionate the teachers are towards them. They really do care for their hearts – not just their behaviour.
Thankful to be a part of such a loving community!
After relocating from Brisbane, we visited Freshwater Christian College with a view to enrol our son, knowing it was a top-ranking school in the area. He has been a student there now for three years, and we are very pleased with our decision. It’s an excellent school with lovely grounds and facilities, quality principal, teachers are impressive and our son has made some great friends too.
After a lifetime in education I know Freshwater Christian College is a good school. There is respect between staff and students (both ways), respect for differences, respect for others and respect for standards persistently and quietly applied. This is a peaceful, caring community where dedicated staff develop young people to their fullest in an atmosphere of trust, cooperation and responsibility.
