(6th grade)They have no control over any situations. Some kids used drugs, others hurt people physically and emotionally. The worst part is teachers and students just sit back and watch that’s it. They just watch. I have had a horrible experience with bullying. Now don’t get me wrong the elementary school is fine and there are small little aspects of FVMS that are good but not enough to get more than 1 star. Spider Girl and Science Crazy know the school has issues. There are constant fights, there is cussing. There is so many things they could fix if they tried. And i mean ACTUALLY tried, not just say they are. You say the teachers are keeping us safe without being overprotective but really they aren’t keeping us safe while still managing to be overbearing.——- 12/14/2017 (today)(7th grade) alright so today we are on our bus and we get pulled to the front of the school and are forced to get out and wait outside. it is winter so it is cold. we are waiting out here freezing while one by one they load people on the bus trying to cram three people in seats when there are empty ones. They load assistant principle Ms. Elliot on the bus and she is telling people what to do. Some people are trying to make a petition for free seating and Ms. Elliot tells them to give it to her and she threatens them if they don’t they will get kicked off the bus. They give it to her and she crumples it up in their faces. Everyone is getting home really late.(7th grade 4/27/2018) Students have no respect for teachers. One time a student asked the teacher if she was high(meaning on drugs).
With the past months being here as a student, I can say this school was nothing but average. But with an incident that has happened yesterday, I can no longer say this school experience was average. It is now below average. Yesterday, in Mrs. Leonardo’s classroom, the class was lining up for lunch, then the line started moving out of the classroom as normal. I couldn’t see Mrs. Leonardo in the classroom, I assumed she was outside the class leading the line. So I follow the line, go to lunch, eat my lunch, and clean up after lunch (I help clean after lunch is over). On my way back from lunch (helping clean means I am a few minutes late) I see half the class leaving with Mr. Zirkle. I go into Mrs. Leonardo’s class and see about 1/3 of the class in the class. I go and ask Mrs. Leonardo if I should be in the group with Mr. Zirkle and she says no. She says I can’t go because I left to early for lunch. You see, the problem there is, I didnt leave early for lunch. She made everyone who “went early” miss out on learning opportunities with Mr. Zirkle (Which is truly archaic) and get 2 days of silent lunch. And Mrs. Leonardo would no let her students voice their complaints to her, or tell her that they didnt leave early. This is why I have resorted to this platform.
