This is a Jackpot!!! 1 in a million.
A loving, caring environment with many fun activities for the kids and staff that truly loves them.

My 2 yr. old son began attending Gan Iris Nursery School 12/2015 after being neglected and mistreated by what I thought was a wonderful childcare center. It had all the bells and whistles.
After a month the abusive childcare he was in told me he was not daycare material and he needed a nanny. The said things like how they used a high chair at nap time to force him to nap as if this was not a restraint. After notable behavior changes I reported them to the state. My son had never been in a daycare and needed to adapt but instead he was mistreated and ignored. Never at Gan Iris Nursery School.

At Gan Iris Nursery School my son has progressed verbally, cognitively and socially. He is so happy. Iris the owner and her mom are devoted to making sure the kids learn, have fun and are loved.
Iris’s mom cooks for the kids. My son loves her cooking.
Iris has the patience of an angel. She has worked with Connor to help him adjust and grow. I never thought this was possible in such a short time.
There is no words to describe how special they all are for what they’ve done for my son. Each day is different, each day there’s new activities, the children are always kept learning and experiencing new things. The smiles in the children’s faces when I arrive shows me how happy and excited they are to be there.

The best part are the babies. The babies are always smiling and look so happy. Although the babies are highly monitored and supervised the babies get a chance to interact with the kids. The babies love it. I can see it in their smiles and attempt to always try to get my son’s attention. What I love the most is that at nap time they are all like a big happy family babies and toddlers. The toddlers from their cribs can see the toddlers on their cots napping. The babies never feel alone and at the end having this close connection helps the little ones excel and learn and the toddlers learn to be caring towards the babies. These are the beginnings of social skills learning. They learn from each other. I see this as a great experience for both groups.
I’m a professional and my job does require I care and advocate for those under my care. I would not write this if I didn’t feel it was going to help someone else. Thank you Iris, Iris’s mom and all staff for your hard work.

I met Iris BY CHANCE. I parked in their lot when visiting the daycare next door. She came out, explained that it’s not the same parking lot, and explained she has her own daycare separate from the next door school. I said, “really, tell me more”. She proceeded to give me a tour, whereby I instantly fell in love with the school, it’s tactile approach, its very cool and very large fish tank (kids love it) and extremely neat environment. I was so shocked at how randomly I found this place in a town I’ve lived for 40 years, and she had apparently been there for almost 20. By this point I was so impressed that I immediately took my wallet, shelled out my deposit in cash without even thinking twice or speaking it over with my wife. I knew immediately that this is a winner; I felt the passion Iris has for doing what she loves, and I love how she and her mother are there and very involved every single day. Best decision by far. My 3 year old son LOVES GAN IRIS and all he talks about at night when he gets home is how much he wants to go back tomorrow. It’s honestly a hidden gem and I’m so happy Iris intervened that day when I accidentally parked there not realizing it was actually a daycare. Since then, she has taken my advice and put up a large building sign advertising the school, and now they’re finishing up a MAJOR building renovation expansion project that will take this daycare program over the top!
This day care is a one of a kind gem. Not only is the staff amazing and the owner and her mom super understanding and caring but this daycare is a remarkable establishment of diversity. Not only does Iris support all kosher needs of Jewish religious families but also Iris gives all Jewish kids a sense of Jewish identity. This daycare truly exemplifies the “Am Echad” (one nation) principle. And on top of this, there are a lot of non-Jewish kids in the nursery school which shows how Iris is able to build a nice environment for the entire Fair Lawn and neighborhoods around it.
