As a parent, I am absolutely thrilled with the experience my child has had at Global Indian International School (GIIS). The SLT and the teachers here are truly exceptional, showcasing a deep commitment to nurturing each student’s academic and personal growth. Their dedication goes beyond mere instruction; they foster a genuine love for learning and consistently encourage critical thinking and creativity.
The learning environment at GIIS is both stimulating and supportive. The classrooms are well-equipped with modern technology, enabling interactive and engaging lessons. The school’s emphasis on holistic development ensures that students are not only excelling academically but also developing important life skills.
Additionally, the diverse and inclusive atmosphere at GIIS enriches my child’s educational experience. The school community is vibrant, welcoming, and respectful of different cultures and perspectives, which is crucial in today’s globalized world.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the education my child is receiving at GIIS. The combination of dedicated teachers, a positive learning environment, and a focus on holistic development makes it an outstanding choice for any parent seeking the best for their child’s future.
We recently attended a parent-teacher meeting at this school for my daughters in grades 4 and 8, who joined this academic year. While the school’s infrastructure is commendable, I have concerns about its academic standards. However, one standout feature is the inclusion of various extracurricular activities without any extra fees, such as dance, music, art, yoga, and STEAM classes. The extracurricular teachers demonstrate a deep understanding of my two children and strive to nurture their potential. Additionally, I must mention the yoga teacher’s pivotal role in helping my daughter overcome anxiety about the new school experience with simple yet effective techniques. Overall, while there are areas for academic improvement, the school excels in providing a holistic educational experience through its diverse extracurricular offerings and supportive staff.
GIIS has given a wonderful platform to my child. We joined the school five years ago, and our journey has been very smooth. Not only are academics but opportunities for extracurricular activities are provided to my child fairly.
I think the infrastructure at GIIS Abu Dhabi’s campus is really good. My son always talks about the IT labs, music rooms, and wonderful sports facilities the school has. This shows the management’s focus on excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities.
I had a bad experience at the school today. My son had an interaction with the grade 6 admissions supervisor. She bullied my son for not knowing the exact definitions for her questions. Even though he was unprepared for the assessment, he demonstrated an understanding of the concepts. She should not have spoken to him as if he knew nothing. She admitted to me that he understands the concepts, but that he needs to know the definitions to pass the test. Her arrogant attitude was hurtful, and he was crying because of it. I know my son is not a high achiever, but he is not a low achiever either. As we all know, students learn differently. Each student is unique. The school can deny admission if a student does not score well on the exam, but she had no right to criticize my son in front of other teachers. I worry about how other students, especially low-achieving ones, survive in that environment. All parents should consider these things before enrolling their children in this school.
Bullying is rampant. My son is constantly bullied by another boy, Harshvardhan Gaikwad, in grade 6, but the principal has taken no action. Teachers are frequently changed and are absent from classes. Yoga has also been stopped. Jyoti Pathak is very adamant and arrogant in her behavior. ADEK should set up an official inquiry into GIIS school regarding bullying, hygiene, and other compliance issues.
ADEK – Please set up an inquiry on this school. Bullying is very common, and the principal doesn’t take any strict action to stop it. The toilets are dirty, and the overall discipline standard has fallen after the new principal, Dileep Kumar, and Jyoti Pathak took over. The Hindi syllabus is not taught properly or completed. Students are left unattended for long hours because teachers are absent. Sports and yoga periods are canceled by Jyoti Pathak.
