On my son’s first day with GF the swim instructors dismissed me and my concerns and told me to basically leave my crying child that was glued to my body in fear. The instructor said “It’s better this way.” I watched as my son was in sensory overload and did not participate. The swim instructor actually waved their hand in front of my nonverbal ASD child, as if to make sure he was still there. (All of this after I explained my son’s needs when setting the appt.) Right then I decided he needed one-on-one swim lessons and because GF has amazing reviews, convenient location, heated pool, etc I decided to give them another shot. Afterward, we had a trial private lesson that went so well. I don’t remember the young ladies name but she was fabulous with our son. We were then informed that there is a waitlist for private. Well it has been over a year and my son is still on the supposed waitlist. I checked in a couple of times (they never contacted me) and I was told they can’t give me a time frame. I gave up a couple months back and contacted another company. This is a big safety concern for our kids and Gold Fish should be upfront and honest about what they can and can not offer. Bad experience, Horrific communication.

We absolutely love Goldfish Swim School! Our son has been attending for a year now in the mini courses. His current instructor is Ava and she is hands down the best instructor. We love how hands on she is with the kids, she gives advice on things to try in between classes, and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well. It’s great to see the kids there learning through fun.

My children started at Goldfish a few months ago with a big fear of water. The instructors are so patient and caring with them. I’ve had to makeup a few classes but no matter what instructors we get they are equally patient, caring and consistent. I enjoy taking my children to Goldfish and in the short time they’ve been there they’ve progressed tremendously. Best part is they get to have fun while learning to swim!
