This school is a hidden gem! We moved our preschooler to Good Sam last fall and couldnt be happier. With four kids, Ive experienced a lot of different high quality preschool settings and Good Sam ranks up there as one of the best! Its play-based, which was a much better fit for my spirited preschooler than montessorri. There is daily outdoor and imaginative play and art. They also do some age appropriate academic instruction for kinder readiness (letter of the week, writing names, etc.). Probably the most convincing evidence of its quality is its teachers, who are extraordinary. Unlike other schools, with a rotating cast of characters, we know every teacher by name and many have long tenures (the current director is a former educator at the school). There is no religious programming, outside a sweet Christmas pageant every winter, and its insanely affordable compared to other schools!
I’m a teacher at Good Samaritan Preschool, and I wish this school had been around when my own children were little, so they could have attended. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, play-based, creative, and full of love and fun. Good Samaritan Preschool is also an Early Achievers participant, committed to utilizing the latest research to make sure our program provides the best pathways to learning and growth for all of our students. I truly enjoy working for a school that takes the education of our little ones so seriously, and treats all children with respect and love.
