The school is very very corrupt, they claimed i didn’t attend school on various occasions. They also are very unforgiving to the students the librarians are very rude, i was doing a project and it was left on one of the computers labeled classes only.. so i informed her that i needed to retrieve the file and it would only take one minute and she proceeded to yell at me and informed me that it was my fault and she doesnt care. And that i needed to take responsibility for it so i wasnt able to get it and i failed the last project of the semester. And the school claims to be friendly but they only treat students that are atheltes of personally like well. Their is a teacher who is currently under investigation as she failed students she didnt like but the school “belives these claims are false” although when one of her students parent’s called her to make a teachers confrence she didnt show but her grade went from 37% and then 95%. THIS SCHOOL IS HORRIBLE WARNING YOU NOW
If you are a high-achieving student, IB may not be the best use of time depending on your goals. If you want to go to an Ivy League university, check with the Ivy Leagues to see if they actually prefer IB over AP. Also know that if you want to go to UNLV or another state school, check which IB and AP credits they accept AND WHICH CLASSES THEY GIVE CREDIT FOR THE TESTS YOU WANT TO TAKE. For example, GVHS will recommend taking AP Lit and AP Lang and Comp, but at UNLV, the AP lit and lang/comp tests both give the SAME CREDIT which means taking both gives no credit advantage over taking just one. Check if whether or not the classes you are taking here match your goals and what you want out of the university you are going into. THIS SCHOOL WILL TRICK YOU INTO TAKING ALL THE HARDEST CLASSES if you let them. Trust yourself and what you find from official university websites and university staff over people who want to use you to fill classes.
I went to green valley from 2015-2017 until I graduated. My experience there was not the best. The teachers overall are okay, but the staff such as the deans and the hall monitors act as if they run the school. They act as if they run a penitentiary. They love to search people who aren’t parked on school premises. I was sent to in school suspension simply for not standing in line for a tardy slip. I sincerely believe the staff have no love or care for the students and they are simply there to ruin everyone’s high school experience. Because I can tell you for a fact mine was ruined because of these people. The hall monitors, especially Nick, loves to write up kids for anything and will stop at nothing until he wins. Fortunately when he tried to do the same to me it didn’t work. School full of non caring adults with dictator like behavior.
