Most of the reviews are by students, so I’d recommend taking them with a grain of salt. A bad grade, bad day, or lack of doing the things a student needs to do to be successful is what likely led them to giving poor reviews.

Our experience has been great. I don’t agree with everything Dr. White does as the founder/principle, but I do genuinely believe that he thinks he is doing what’s right by the students and that he is supporting the teachings of Christ. He is open minded, and I think he has been pretty fair. When you hear him talk, there is no doubt he really loves the school, staff, students, and what he believes his mission is. Prices are very reasonable. The education exceeds Hickory public schools(according to an educator that lives across the street) I have no complaints. Some of the teachings are a little old school, but I like the discipline it instills in my child.

First year here at GCA and we left very disheartened. We are a military family and moved from the West Coast. It was a huge adjustment for our family but we were looking forward to a well known, Christ based school. Our 4th grade daughter was faced with an overwhelming amount of work with little to no proper study guides which lead to poor testing. It was a struggle everyday she went to class. After 7 weeks, we made the decision to withdraw her, after reaching out to the teacher many times, and were faced with a hefty fee. We now have our children in another Christian school and are so glad we made the switch!
