Our daughter has taken ballet at Greenleaf for 2 years. We are looking at our third year now. Things to love about this place:

1. We don’t want our little girl dressing up like a grown woman with provocative dance clothes. At Greenleaf, the little girls’ attire (and even the older girls’ attire) is tasteful, modest and becoming.

2. We didn’t know what we wanted from the recital; yet, what we received exceeded our expectations. Both years, the recital was professionally executed with appropriate Bible readings before each dance number. Each recital was themed: the first year was Creation, the second year was Biblical Prayers.

3. I think Greenleaf is family owned. I’m usually afraid of this because there is no accountability. Here, however, the family is really like a family – in the best kind of way. For instance, my car recently stalled on the way to a private lesson. We were quite close to the studio, but I knew we wouldn’t make it to the session. I called to cancel and instead, someone came and picked us up!! Initially, I thought I’d run out of gas and they actually took me back to my car with a gas can.

In my opinion, Greenleaf is a really fantastic place with a fantastic program. We have loved the first two years and are looking forward to the future with an expectation of more good things to come. If you’re looking for a place to bring your children (for music, acting, dance, etc.), I would encourage you to give Greenleaf a try.

Our two children take private piano lessons as well as Stage 1 acting at the Greenleaf South location. Acting class is very active. The teacher is a great fit for the role. For piano, Greenleaf offers young grade school aged students either 15 minute or 30 minute lessons. They work on Theory, Technique & Performance. Our children have already performed several times.

Without a doubt, our children enjoy piano more than when they started. Because of their time at Greenleaf, they will play piano at home at times outside of normal practice sessions.
