This is a general review about Greg’s Driving School because location seems to be irrelevant. They don’t offer in-person classes (virtual only) which is disappointing. Making it worse, my son was 1 minute late logging back into his class and the instructor refused to allow him entry. I had to call the main number and have the agent directly contact the instructor during class to let him back in and when he tried to explain why he was 1 minute late, he wouldn’t let him back in. I was told that the instructors are sticklers for time because they answer to the state of Maryland but I’m not sure how PREVENTING a student from entering the virtual class and interrupting the class with a phone call maximizes students’ time (instructor’s policy BTW). The instruction was basic, at best, and repetitive. My son was actually hoping for real life driving scenarios to help him get better behind the wheel. Instead, as an example, they spent an entire 3 hour session repeating back to the instructor what a double yellow line meant.

But wait, there’s more!

If you sign up at a location near you because you think that means you’ll get to do in-person driving lessons at that location, think again, my friend. Driving lesson availability is posted sporadically whenever an instructor might be available. There are no set times so you can’t even schedule in advance if you want to at least get something in the distant future on the calendar.

We ended up having to drive to Ellicott City and Frederick for our driving lessons because those were the nearest locations available in weeks (nothing ever showed for Eldersburg). The driving instructors were adequate and pretty much all they did was check a box.

Driving school choices are limited so you may simply be stuck with Greg’s. I think they’re counting on that. To that I say, good luck. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

Adding an extra star because everyone at the call center was always very helpful and friendly.

Honestly this is THE best driving school you can possibly send your children too. Staff are absolutely helpful, knowledgeable an overall serious about the course. Mr.Brian is one of the ABSOLUTE BEST DRIVER INSTRUCTOR HANDS DOWN. I’m glad I was able to attend the course at this location. I WILL be recommending this location to all of my friends and family members. Thanks for everything!
