Send your kids to this school if you want them to be denied basic privileges such as a bathroom to use during the day. Students are given referrals for using the bathroom and stopping at their locker, citing “out-of-area”. Teachers enforce their personal beliefs, in class and out. Some are good, and the quality of education is well, but the social atmosphere is one of a strict, prison-like area. Students are chided for every little thing–which is acceptable in certain aspects, however, half the time the punishments for the students do not fit the crime. The enviriment surrounding the school is a very bad area; the school (including summerville high) is put on a lockdown at least once a month. Just recently a man was shot right outside a window. Once again, the quality of education is very good, but the social enviroment (and the surrounding areas) is very harsh on students. Once again, this school is academically very successful, but the enviroment causes stress and is even dangerous. Basic privileges–and even rights–are revoked at will. Just recently students in the 300 building did not have a bathroom to use for over two weeks. These students were denied a basic right. Once again, for academics this school is excellent, but from a enviroment standpoint, this school lags behind.

This school deserved negative stars. Worst school ever. If you have another option, pick it. I would rather jump on nails than go here. I got in trouble for something I did in my house. Females and minority groups have it easy here, they can get away with a lot more then white males. I got in trouble in 7th grade for sharpening a pencil during free time because I “took too long”. I’m in 8th grade now and I’m mad that it has to be at this school. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE (except for satan)

This school is the best. The teachers at this school are very careful for these students here. If your child is not passing then he/she is not doing his/her best. There are many options if your child is not passing, they can go into courtyard tutoring or talk to the teacher at the end if class. This is a great school.
