My online classes at Greg’s were fine which is why I’m giving 3 stars but my behind the wheel lesson was nothing to write home about. The instructor that I had assigned to me, Ms. Helen Castillo, was extremely rude and condescending. I had explained to her, even before we got in the car to complete the lesson that I had not had any behind the wheel practice whatsoever and that I was going to look into getting additional lessons after my initial practice with her which she said was fine. However, when we began to practice at the parking lot, she kept on getting agitated that I was not accelerating often enough or making turns as well as she believed I should have, which I am not exactly sure why she was expecting me to know what to do so well when that was literally my first time behind the wheel. She would yell ‘drive! drive, oh my God drive’ because I was driving slow which of course I was anxious and did not want to scratch the car against the curb and she did absolutely nothing to soothe my anxiety. She told me earlier before we started practicing that we were going to drive on the street and I told her I’m not exactly sure how that’s possible because I have never been on the road before so when during the practice I was not performing to her expectations she began to complain ‘ you have to get it right so you can drive us back to Greg’s I really don’t feel like driving’. I WAS UNAWARE I PAID GREG’S TO BE HER CHAUFFEUR??? Anyways she continued to berate me about how I needed more practice because there’s no way I could pass the driving exam with my skill level at the time. I believe she was experiencing short term memory loss from when I told her twice before I even got behind the wheel that I was already looking into getting additional lessons at Greg’s. Towards the end of the lesson she told me about how she had had a student quit on her before because of how upset they were after the lesson . I never would have guessed that.

I only had the pleasure of going to Greg’s Driving School of Rockville once to take an exam for an online course Greg’s provides. Once I entered, I was greeted by Chelsea and another very nice lady. Both Chelsea and the other nice lady were very kind to me and helped me understand the exam process and explained to me clearly the instructions. I appreciated their small talk with me and kindness as I was nervous of taking this exam, and their gentle demeanor assisted in calming me down.

I did my first driving lesson at Greg’s Driving School in Rockville! I definitely recommend Jarret Jeffery as your coach! I was a little bit nervous getting on the road because it’s been a while since I drove, but he was very patient with me and was very helpful! I’d recommend him to everyone!!!
