I visited Gretton recently to do some book readings for the children, and to discuss life as an author with an older age group. And what a wonderful school to visit. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The school itself and the grounds looked wonderful. And the children all seemed happy and engaged. As an author I visit a lot of schools, and I was very glad to have had the opportunity to visit Gretton.
Since my son has started Gretton school, he is a different child, he is confident, happy and feels included which lacked massively at the other schools he attended.
My son has an amazing TA who regularly keeps me informed about his progress, how he’s feeling and my son really trusts and opens up to her which is amazing. In her absence other teachers/TAs will fill in and keep me updated, always in a kind respectful manner.
We have regular emails keeping us informed with what the students have been up to and working towards.
I can’t rate Gretton and its staff highly enough and I honestly can’t think of one fault.
The staff at Gretton were very helpful, informative and friendly at the open day we attended. We looked around the KS4 School/Sixth Form and all the teachers we met were happy to share their insights and passion for their School and students. Equally the students appeared happy and proud of their School. It was a positive visit and good insight into what Gretton School is about and has to offer.
The Parent’s tour this Morning was quite helpful. Our tour guide was nice, polite, answered questions I had and really made me feel welcome. Beautiful School with lovely facilities. I thoroughly found it useful.
Used to lock up the (autistic) children, including myself, in rooms for hours at a time without even any water, even while I cried and begged to leave
