Very good Primary School; teachers are helpful and help children with SEN, aswell as those without diagnosis or without SEN.

Mr Johns, whom has just left, was the best teacher in the area; Mrs Ashford was also the best Headmistress.

Billy Mays here with a Google Review!

I’ve talked about this primary school before but it felt very unprofessional on how I worded it. In this one, I am willing to give a balanced view of this school and see what it has to offer.

However, I was a student at this primary/juniors school before it had a new building structure. So, some points made here might not agree with what they have today.

Let’s start off with the positives! I bet you guys want to hear that.
Off the top of my head, I can’t really think of anything.
I am sure the children and happy when it’s break time since they play with their friends and making friends in this school seems to be a piece of cake.
If the staff engorges this behaviour is beyond me, but AT LEAST they have friends.

I haven’t been inside this new building but from what I have heard it looks like a high school on the inside and a prison on the outside. I can see where they are coming from.
I have only seen inside the reception and that looks like Clywedog.
Though, credit where is due, it looks pretty nice, fresh and sleek. It is quite welcoming but a tad impacted if others wish to go inside at the same time.

All honesty, I am not sure what else I can say that Gwenfro deserves here.
And that leads me to the negatives.

This place is too impacted. Unlike the previous building that had PLENTY of space for the children to play and for parents to wait outside for their child… it’s vanished here!
Parents waiting outside are bunched up and trying to wait for their child. It takes far too long now just to go home with your child since every child comes out of the same door!
I am not sure who designed it to be this way, but it was a choice that changed far too much for the worse.
I don’t wish to stand outside a prison waiting for my pupil to come out after all the other soldiers.
It also doesn’t help that there’s only ONE entrance to the grounds and that’s also the EXIT. Who said this was a good idea? This idea sucks and it still hasn’t been fixed.
Oh wait! “Mays, there is a car park! Surely parents wait there?”
NO. You are WRONG. This car park is for STAFF ONLY. There was no notice that it was for staff only until recently I do believe. However, that doesn’t change the fact that staff will attack parents who drive into this car park just to wait for their child.
Instead of a simple “This is for staff only. May you please redirect your vehicle?” they get attacked and harassed to leave. That’s nice.

Why can’t there be a car park for parents? I thought that was something all schools should have at this point? They are forced to park their cars all down along the road, resulting a walk lengthy walk to go up and then all back down just to get into their car. It’s ridiculous and I don’t even drive.

I am not sure if this applies to all staff, but it seems majority of staff I have heard about have a lot of negative light and this concerns me. Are these people actually teaching these kids? I have a family member who said that a teacher scares her and teaches badly. WHY isn’t anyone looking into that??
I have also had complaints that the Head of this school is unprofessional and very forceful with their views. I have had more evidence proving this than actually debunking it.

One last thing before summarising…
The money.
Why does every event this school do require SO MUCH money? EVERY event requires MONEY. I am serious. It’s fine if it was a small fee for something reasonable, BUT that’s not the case.
I remember them charging a absurd amount just to sleep over for the night. I think a Motel is better in comparison.
Some pupils even complained about the trips they went on because they weren’t worth it at all.

CONCLUSION:
I think I was too harsh on my previous review of this place.
I stated some good things here. You happy?
Overall, this school is below OKAY. It’s a place to go for quick minimal education since majority of the children there are low on intelligence but who can blame the school when there’s also the parents to think about?
