My child is about to start 5th grade here on the 14th. I have read some of the reviews and I feel that I should write a review as well. Yes picking up your child is going to be a disaster. I feel that the school tries hard to make the process as easy as it can be but its difficult when there are parents who don’t follow the rules. I can’t tell you how many times I have been cut in front of in line, parents making u-turns in the school zone is illegal but they don’t care and now they are doing construction so I’m sure that is going to cause an uproar. Parents just need to be patient and follow the rules. The front staff people I would agree are not the kindest or the most helpful. As far as the teachers go my son has been lucky I suppose in that his teachers have been good. There are better schools here in the city but not so many good ones on the east side. Just remember not every parent is going to be happy with their kids’ school.
Office staff is horrible. Make you want to slap them. School not very clean. My kids went to Kitty Ward ES. You can see a big difference. I believe the service and type of education you receive is based on what part of town you live. All the way down to the food the kids receive. The school is dirty. I’m glad I’m moving so mine don t have to go there. Again that front office staff will make you want to kick they ass. That’s how rude they are.
