Hall School Wimbledon (HSW) is a co-educational independent school in Wimbledon, London, for children aged 4 to 16. The school was founded in 1990, by current headmaster Mr Timothy Hobbs, with only nine pupils. As of January 2013, the school has approximately 500 pupils.
The 2012 Ofsted Inspection Report states that: “Pupils make outstanding progress because of the outstanding teaching and assessment supported by an outstanding curriculum.” [1]
Update – Sadly the reduced star rating from 4-2 is due to the recent problems Hall has had & unfortunately and largely not dealt with adequately. Whilst the spirit of the school is clinging on it doesn’t feel as secure as it did & the lack of guidance from the Head had left a gaping hole as frankly, like him or loathe him, he is the glue that holds the school together & gives it its uniqueness. Hopefully they will sort themselves out and rectify the problems that are leaving the children vulnerable.
